Home Remedies for Warts

Warts - What is it?

Warts are mild skin tumors that may develop individually or multitudes. It can grow on almost all parts of the body. It looks like a small blister or a cauliflower.
Warts are caused by a virus and can be contagious. But don't worry. You can handle warts right at their onset.
The most effective medications can be found right in your own homes.

Home Remedies For Warts

Home Remedies for Warts with Duct Tape:

Believe it or not, duct tape works. Just cover the wart with a duct tape. Leave it like that for a full week. Remove the duct tape then soak the area in water while rubbing it with a pumice stone.
The wart should look better. Wait another week and do this again until the wart disappears completely.

Treat Warts with Aloe:

Soak a cotton ball in aloe. Then tape it onto the wart. Add aloe gel into the cotton ball after a few hours. Do so for several days. Use fresh cotton balls every day.
You'll see that the wart would actually fall off after a week or so. Aloe is rich in Vitamin E that could keep warts at bay.

Natural Treatments for Warts with Castor Oil:

Castor oil is also good in keeping warts away.
Just apply the oil directly on the area and massage it. Do this twice daily until the warts disappear. You can also apply castor oil on the wart and tie it with a bandage. It might take three weeks before the wart completely heals.

Natural Remedies for Warts with Salicylic acid:

Salicylic acid is the common ingredient of most ointments available in the market today.
To use it on warts, clean the affected area first. Then soak it in lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Pat it dry. Apply just a drop of salicylic ointment on the wart. Cover it with bandage. Do this every night. When you wake up, soak the affected area again in water and lightly scrub it with pumice stone.
Be careful not to use too much salicylic acid on the area as it could blister the skin.
