Sprains - What is it?

A fall or injury to joints could cause sprains or ligament tear.
Sprains usually occurs in our hands, back, neck, ankles or legs. It is bound to be very painful, at times the area might appear to be swollen.

Home Remedies For Sprains

Sprains Home Remedies with Coffee:

The beverage we all need to give a boost to our days is filled with caffeine and keeps us going through the day. It is also used while making cakes, and ice creams.
  • Take a spoonful of black coffee powder, make a bandage of the same and apply on the sprained area for relief.

Natural Treatments for Sprains with Camphor:

The white translucent looking solid that has a strong aroma is used to sooth the atmosphere around us. It is also used as a moth repellent.
  • Mix one cup of sunflower oil with a teaspoon of camphor oil to massage on affected area.

Sprains Remedies with Cabbage leaves:

A vegetable that contains Vitamin A and known to be good for our health is used in daily cooking. We either cook it and eat or enjoy it as part of the salad.
  • Soak a few leaves from outer side of a cabbage in hot water, wrap this around the sprained area, leaving it on for about 15 minutes.
    It is a good home remedy that is known to cure the sprain and relieve from pain.

Sprains Remedies with Olive oil:

Olives come in green and black color. They are used while making pastas, pizzas and Margaritas. They are also good for injuries and wounds.
  • Apply few drops of olive oil on the hurt sprained area, then beat an egg yolk and pour that on the olive oil. Wrap this with a cotton cloth or pad and leave on for 2 days. Make sure to not use the hand or leg and keep it elevated.
