Jaundice - What is it?

Jaundice is a disease that is characterized by the yellowing of the skin.
It occurs because the body has abnormally high levels of bilirubin. Bilirubin is a type of chemical found in the blood and is produced by the red blood cells. There are several reasons why people develop jaundice but hepatitis is the most common of all. Hepatitis is a health condition wherein too many red blood cells are not working normally. To treat jaundice, and probably even its root cause, there are some home remedies you can use.
